Our topic wiki is a wiki space that is filled with information, experiences and examples of points for all three different age groups. I made multiple contributions for the age group I was assigned to but when I started to contribute the other members from all around the world had already made tremendous contributions and I added what they have left out and also added and edited what they have wrote. I also added some pictures to represent websites of purchasing items. Other people from other countries were very active in the information put and I was very active, because of the activeness of the group our wiki was full of information and is very good for others to see.

For our action project I do not believe we made our video to our best extent because of my bad camera skills. I made a video of the screen using jing and that video was very good and easy to watch but we did not know how to use it and get it as a proper file which was not correct. We could not play it and we had to use the bad video that Muji and I took which did not help.
Our presentation was very good and I believe it taught the kids a lot because they were interested and asking questions. We also had some surveys and word searches for the kids to do but we did not have enough surveys and the wordsearches where too hard but it was good to have them challenging.

Digital citizenship is some thing good for kids to know so they do not make mistakes that might cost them a lot when they grow up, it is good to stay informed.

Last lesson we tried editing and working on our video on I movie but it was too complicated and we did not understand how to use it We have videos and we only have alittle bit left to take, we will take a lot of screen shots to help us. I realised that I took some non useful video and I will cut that when I start editing the video, hopefully today or tommorow.

reflection on digital commerce

Digital commerce is a good topic to talk about because I have a lot of expireince in it because when I was small my family and I used to buy a lot of things from the internet and we used to always download things such as music and videos on the internet. My brother always bought comics from amazon.com when he and I were younger and we only bought from amazon.com because we thought it was the most reliable site we could find. Digital commerce is an easy topic to talk about because there is a lot of information on it on the internet and in book and including that everybody has at least one experience with digital commerce which gives him or her some basic and important information/background on the topic.

Digital commerce

Digital commerce is the buying and selling of products online, some are not reliable and authorized sellers. Others like amazon.com and gamestop.com and virgin.com are reliable and there is a better chance that they will snot steal your money. Whilst some things are cheaper online but it is not recommended to buy things from the internet because you do not know wo is seeing your personal info and who can use it to his advantage.

A 49 year old woman was bullying a 13 year old girl on myspace which caused her to commit suicide, This woman who was bullying was sentensed time in jail for her crime. She had hacked another account and conflicted some seriouse harsh comments on the 13 year old child. I believe this is a bad thing to do and she deserves more than what she got

Digital citizenship

It is important to be responsible when using the internet and the most important thing is that you do not belive every thing you see on it and not see and do bad things on the internet. There are bad people out there that do bad things on the internet that we should not watch, be a part of or even do. you should use the internet for education, personal enjoyment ( but not in a bad way ). The internet is a very good thing if you use it in a responsible and mannerful way. You should not give out your personal information unless the site says it will keep it personally. You shoul not buy stuff from the internet unless from a reliable site like Amazon .com and gamestop.com

You should not use the computer and internet too much because it is not good for your health, your ey sight will weaken and you will grow fat and problems will occur for you. Computers are good but they are not good if you use them more than what is needed.

People should not do everything on line and should have a social life outside the computer and should go out with friends and meet new people the old fashioned way. Always being on the computer is not good for your healthy and makes you weaker in person. it is okay to use the internet for pleasure and meeting people but it is not good to be too active on the internet and computer.


It is good to modernize what teachers do in the classroom and it is more encouraging for students to deal with technology because they like it and it gives them a better view in things. It is not good to forget our past and not get too lazy to write by hand, and how to read because there is a program on the computer that reads to them and gives them summaries. It is good to remember our past and what they had to do and the effort they put into learning. I f they don't learn who will be there to actually create and think of new things and inventions for them.

People and you should always keep your own identity, never try to be somebody you aren't, if you do that you will be damaged in real life you will be messed up.

My Reflection on my completed Digital portfolio

I have worked very hard on my digital portfolio and I believe it is one of my best work and I have achieved a lot in learning about technology and how to deal with certain situations a lot. I worked a lot during this time and I believe I used what I learned from my teacher in expressing it on the wiki.

There are some weaknesses and some strengths and I can identify some of them, I believe my weakness is that I did not write about the subjects that I did not have time to find an artifact for, I should have explained what we do in that subject and what were/are my expectations for that subject, that would make my digital portfolio much better if only I had a little bit more time. If I had more time I could do a lot more activities in improving my wiki and I could maybe improvbe my theme and colours so it would be more like what I would imagine to be a very good website, time is not of my favour.

We were given a chance to express our imagination in the wiki/digital portfolio, I expressed homofaber in the best way I could with the time I had. At first I wanted to make my pointer in the wiki in the shape of the sword and also at the side, the navigation and every thing in my wiki a mideivel theme, but my teacher told me it was too complicated and if I wanted to make it that way it would take too much time and we could not do something like that on wikispaces .com. I wanted to expand and use my imagination in a good way for making my wikia good one to interect the people visiting it not to close the page. I did not have enough time to do what I wanted to, that affected me a lot.

French reflection

In french class we were studying about meauseams and about french culture, following this we had to make a show/ presentation about the different meauseams in France, what they mostly have in and connected to them. We also had to talk a little bit about the country France. We are learning french, to learn the language we have to study a little bit about their culture to understand what they mean when they talk about different things in their language.

After this I have to continue contributing in the learning of the french culture so it will help me understand about what I am learning in French class. The French language I believe is a bit complicated and their culture learning has already helped me with what I learned. This slide show helped me already with what I learned in France When I went and hopefully it will help others in their visits to France and french countries.

Peer review of Jassim Al Subaie's Digital portfolio

Jassim I found it very easy to navigate through your portfolio but you do not hve enough artifacts in your portfolio. In fact I did not find most of the objects needed like your video about me. I did although see that you have wrote about every subject which is very good for the reader or viewer of the digital portfolio. You should try to put some more colours in your theme, I can show you how. The reflection you have is very little you should reflect on what you have done what you want to do and what do you expect to happen if you do that.

There are a few adjustments you have to do to your portfolio like your name, more pages. If you change your color you will get a better look for you portfolio. You have some improvment neede and hopefully you will get a better mark. You need to improve your multimedia efforts in your work, ask the teacher or me. you need improvment but good start and hopefully in the next week you will get really better, I will try to help you with that.

Reflection on Drama artifact

In Drama class we were asked in groups to create, write and perform a melodrama play. Melodrama was mostly very famous in the 19 thousands, When we performed our play it was very funny, realistic and clever. I have said a lot of things that I meant in the reflection to the project but one thing is certain and that is that I have learned a lot during it. One of t5he most important things that I have learned is how to work with others in getting one final result that everybody agrees on better. A big aspect of this project is the teamwork and how to turn that into something good. I hope to get more artifacts on the digital portfolio and reflect on it, I am proud of what I have achieved and you will see that through the work that you see on the digital portfolio.

My English artifact

In English class we were asked to read a story and then pick 8 passages and then say how they fit in the story, what did we felt after reading them and how did that effect the main character. I worked very hard on this project although I don't know my marks yet I am sure I will get a good mark because this is one of my best achievements in the subject of English. Now that I have put my work on my digital portfolio I have to work very hard to put more work of mine on the portfolio so it gets ready in time. Maybe next I will put some French work on the digital portfolio. Maybe it will be a power point I have made on meuseams in Paris. What ever I put on the digital portfolio it will be good quality.

What and so what

In Humanities class here in Qatar Academy we were asked to make a presentation on a country that was given to us. My country was my own country Qatar, that made me happy because I already new a lot about Qatar. We had a template and a guideline to follow for what to do and my presentation was a good example of it since I got a full mark on it. I worked very hard on this power point and we were given enough time in class to work on it though some times
i did not take advantage of it. I had to work a lot at home and during breaks to perfect my presentation and I believe I did a good job on it and so does the teacher.

Now what

Even though this presentation was about Qatar my home country, I believe I have gotten away with more in formation about Qatar than I thought I would, I have learned a lot about my self with how little I know about my country, everybody should try to learn about there surroundings and that will help them in countless ways. This project has modified my curiosity and makes me wanting to know more. I like doing research and if I have to choose I would most likely put it on a power point because it helps me organize my work in different ways and presenting it in a better way than an essay or brochure, that is my opinion.
